Board Member Portal
Secure, read-only docket review with author-only private notes — no more printed agenda packets, no more chase-the-staffer follow-ups.
What board members do on VCPMS
In hybrid-decision states — Oklahoma, and every program where a statute sends high-dollar or policy-sensitive claims to an appointed board — determination-board members sit between the staff’s eligibility recommendation and the final approval. Before VCPBoard, that meant staff printed agenda packets the week of every meeting, couriered them to each member, and transcribed votes back into the claim system by hand. VCPBoard replaces every step of that workflow with a secure, audited window into the same VCPMS data staff uses — scoped to what the board needs, and nothing more.
Highlights
- Docket dashboard scoped to non-Draft states. Waiting for Decision, Recording Decision, Completed, Voided. Drafts stay with staff until they’re ready.
- Agenda drill-down. Each docket shows the full list of claims and appeals on the meeting agenda with one-click navigation to the claim view.
- Tenant-configurable claim panes. Turn on exactly what this program’s board needs to see: Summary, Crime Info, Offenders, Requested Amounts, Supporting Documents, Staff Recommendation, Decision History. Unconfigured panes aren’t just hidden — they’re never serialized.
- Field-level redaction. Block any dot-path (
victim.ssn,offender.dob,victim.homeAddress) at the tenant config. Applied server-side in addition to pane visibility. - Author-only private notes. Attach a note to the docket, to any claim on the docket, or to any appeal. Only the author ever sees it — not other members, not staff, not administrators.
- Immutable Award snapshots for decided dockets. Once a docket is Completed or Voided, the claim view reads from
Award.VcClaimSnapshotJson— the record the board actually reviewed never drifts, even if the live claim is later amended. - Five layers of server-enforced access. Tenant feature gate, user-category gate, docket-state gate, pane whitelist, field redaction. No administrator can silently broaden what a board member sees.
- Zero claim-editing surface. VCPBoard is deliberately read-only for claim data. There’s no way to accidentally edit a claim or change a recommendation.
Board-member-safe configuration
The program administrator configures the board view once in Setup → WorkItem Manager Configs → Determination Docket → Extended Configuration → Board Member View:
- Preset — Minimal, Standard, or Full as a baseline.
- Visible Claim Panes — per-pane checkboxes.
- Hidden Claim Fields — dot-paths to strip server-side.
Because everything lives inside DeterminationDocketExtConfig.BoardViewConfig → WorkItemManagerConfig.ExtendedConfigDataJson, the board configuration travels with tenant export/import. Spinning up a new state doesn’t require re-tuning the board view.
